THE SIMPLE 4 STAGE PROCESS
Initial Prep
- The doctor places an order with our bioDENT Guided Service software.
- He then uses an intra-oral scanner to create a scan of the patient\’s mouth (A precise impression can also be taken) and sends him for a CT Scan.
- Both scans are sent to bioDENT, using our upload link.
3D Treatment Plan
- At bioDENT, our team of professionals merges the intra-oral scan [or scan of the model] with the CT scan to create a detailed and complete 3D imaging of the patient’s mouth: bone, teeth, gums and virtual tooth positions.
- The Guided Service professionals can now study the patient’s mouth, plan the ideal implant procedure and send it to the doctor for review.
- This step allows the doctor to fine-tune the procedure before stepping foot in the surgery room.
bioDENT Guide
- With the final treatment plan completed, the bioDENT Guide is now printed using our in-house 3D printer directly from the approved plan.
- The Guide has coloured sleeves which correspond with the color-coded drills with stoppers, controlling the drill depth.
- The Guided Service provides everything needed for the procedure: bioDENT Guide, surgical tool kit, implants, abutments, healing caps and even a temporary restoration.
Procedure
- The doctor performs the implantation using the Guide.
- Most of the work has already been done outside of the mouth and the procedure is truly simplified.
- Important: our Guided Service allows the dentist to use his knowledge and experience in the optimal way.
